JR Screen Ruler Pro

Any person has used a ruler at least once in his lifetime. Rulers are extremely useful for measuring a lot of things, like photos, walls, windows, computer screens, documents and the list can continue forever. But there are times when the user may need to measure something on the computer desktop, let's say a document, for making sure that the print will look exactly like the digital document. Most text editors, even WordPad, the default Windows text editor, include a ruler, but this is not of much use because it's a very limited feature. And, obviously, the ruler included in a text editor can be used only for documents. That means that measuring a window or a photo cannot be done without turning to additional programs.

JR Screen Ruler Pro is really helpful in this situations. The program doesn't need any description, as its name clearly explains this. It's basically an on-screen ruler that can be used to measure everything displayed on the desktop. As I mentioned before, it is a Windows application. Installing the app is as simple as using it, as four or five clicks are enough to get the software on the hard disk.

The ruler is basically the program's interface and right-clicking on it will display a large menu, featuring a lot of options. These options allow rotating the ruler in any direction and using a certain angle, to accommodate any kind of application. Besides that, JR Screen Ruler Pro can be set to be more or less transparent, so it can be put on top of a software window, making it easier to measure the window. Moreover, it can be set to stay on top of all the active windows.

The colors of JR Screen Ruler Pro can be customized and also the measuring units can be changed, by selecting one of the units available.
